College - University of Nebraska - Omaha
Wayne State College
I grew up in a small town in Northeast Nebraska named Elgin. Elgin has a population of 710 people. My graduating class was 22. Coming to the big city was quite an experience for me.
I have been a special education teacher with Bellevue Public Schools for 10 years. I began teaching at LeMay Elementary in January of 2004. I moved to Leonard Lawrence Elementary in August of 2008.
I am married to Brent and we have three young children. Kolben is 8 and is a 2nd grader. Sophie is 6 and in 1st grade. Lia is 3 years old. In my free time I enjoy volunteering for Midwest Heart Connection as well as reading, playing with my kids and crocheting.
What I want families and students to know about me is that I care. I truly care about them as a person, not just about their grades, but about how they feel. I hope that families and students know that they can always speak openly with me and I am a good listener.
